Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards female individuals.

The company has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Several of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
