This young athlete has considerable online audience
The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she revealed.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA standings.
However she can get advice from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to go out there, relax, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, featuring world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials commented that her participation brings the sport to different demographics, specifically among younger fans.
Kai boasts a massive following and has started her own fashion and living label.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
